Forward, who pockets an incredible £615,000-a-week, has caused a stir amongst his own supporters
CARLOS TEVEZ has upset Shanghai Shenhua supporters after the ‘injured’ striker was spotted at Disneyland whilst his team-mates were playing a must-win match.
The 33-year-old, who earns a staggering £615,000-a-week in China, has only scored once in four games for his new club after he netted on his debut.
But since his epic arrival, the fans are slowly turning on their talisman, who was ruled out with a calf injury.
Because whilst Tevez was seen pushing a pram around Disneyland, Gus Poyet’s side recorded their second win of the season after Giovanni Moreno netted late on.
Tevez was pictured wearing a Cleveland basketball vest as him and his family enjoyed a day out in Shanghai.
Following Shenhua’s victory, Poyet said: “Shenhua hasn’t won here for ten years and there are many reasons, but after this game all of us should feel very happy.
“This win is very important for us as we will play our fourth consecutive away game next week.
“[Tevez’s absence] was a coincidence. I don’t want to appraise the condition of the pitch. Even if Tevez was here, he might have felt very uncomfortable. It was a coincidence that we won here.”
