We’ve all walked along the beach and seen something that had presumably drifted in on the current. But probably not like this…
Locals in Norfolk were stunned – and somewhat amused – when nearly 500 metres of giant piping washed up on the beach after drifting free of a Norwegian tug boat that had collided with a container ship.
At 2.5m in width, the piping was wide enough to drive a small car into and dwarfed residents who stopped by for a look and a walk atop the unusual arrival.
But authorities are saying the pipe should not be approached in case it moves and crushes people.
