Fiends’ farm park rampage
A BABY wallaby was tormented to death by sick yobs who broke into a kids’ animal park.
Eighteen-month-old roo Mick collapsed after five sickos chased him around his pen at Dalscone Farm Fun, Dumfries.
As cops hunting the killer thugs last night probed CCTV footage, it was revealed he was found cowering in the pen when staff went to feed him brekkie.
Heartbroken kids’ attraction manager Ben Best revealed workers and vets fought to save 18-month-old Mick but the stress of the thugs’ rampage killed the traumatised marsupial.
Staff are now monitoring the condition of two surviving wallabies as cops hunt for the five teenage morons — who furious locals branded “scum”.
Ben, 24, said last night: “He was terrified to death. Mick was found in the pen on Sunday morning and he was in quite a bad way.

“We went out to feed the wallabies and found him lying there. He was so distressed he couldn’t be saved.
“His stomach and heart were affected by the severe stress of what had happened on Saturday.
“Despite the best efforts of ourselves and the vets that we work with we were unfortunately not able to save him.”
Ben said a wallaby called Joey and another unnamed baby marsupial fled when the gang chased them in the pen at Dalscone Farm Fun in Dumfries.
He continued: “They jumped out and injured themselves in the panic. They were covered in scratches. They headed for the road, but thankfully they turned and went back towards their pen.
“The wallaby is a very anxious and nervous animal anyway, so they would have been terrified by having five youths in there chasing after them.”
Cops are scouring CCTV from the attraction after the hour-long wrecking spree which saw the vandals break into the marsupials’ enclosure and trash equipment.
Other pens with meerkats and racoons were padlocked so the thugs couldn’t get in.
Furious locals blasted the yobs on social media. Pauline Drysdale said: “This is disgusting. I hope they get caught. Poor wee wallabies — what selfish, stupid idiots.”
Gail Paterson added: “Disgusting. Someone knows these cruel halfwits, it’s a small town” — while Nicola Tattersall said the intruders are the “scum of the earth”.
Police said they are following a positive line of inquiry but urged anyone with information to come forward.
The five suspects are described as being between 15 and 17 years old.
Constable Kennedy Anderson said: “We understand this incident has caused considerable distress to the community and we are keen to trace those responsible.
“We are following a positive line of enquiry. Anyone with information or who can help us identify these individuals should call police at Dumfries.”
