A SPY who led security at the London Olympics is to head GCHQ.
Veteran spook Jeremy Fleming, 49, succeeds Robert Hannigan at the intelligence hub called “Britain’s listening post”.
The cyber expert is currently deputy director-general at MI5.
Mr Fleming said yesterday: “It is a great privilege to be asked to lead GCHQ.
“The organisation has an increasingly important role to play in keeping Britain safe.”
